By offering more innovative features and new products, they always worked hard to remain on-trend. Suzuki Swish is one of their valued products. It helped the company to increase its monthly sales by 30% in the same year it was first launched in India in 2012.

Suzuki Swish is one of Suzuki’s premium scooters under the 124cc range. It only came with one variant, aka the “Suzuki Swish 125 facelift” model that features four paint schemes to choose from – Glass sparkle black, Pearl mirage white, Pearl mira red and Metallic flint grey.

How much is a Suzuki Swish? New? Second hand?

Before reading this part of the article please keep in mind that due to the scarcity of information, the scooter’s price was converted from Indian Rupees to US dollars. Almost all of the prices available online are in Indian Rupees. Note that these values may not be entirely accurate.

Now, if you are looking to buy the 2022 version of Suzuki Swish, it will cost you around USD$2767. If you want to go for a used one, the 2012-2013 facelift models will cost you from $300 to $350. And a second-hand 2015 facelift model with moderate use and mileage will cost you $500 to $550, depending on where you source it of course, as well as what condition it is in.

Where is it available?

Unfortunately, it’s not easy to get your hands on a Suzuki Swish especially if you are living in Australia, the US, or the UK. However, Suzuki sells their latest Swish models in Japan and they can be purchased from there.

You can also get any new model after 2018 from Taiwan. Additionally, old Suzuki access, from 2012-2015 can be purchased from India.

Advantages of the Suzuki Swish?

Here are some advantages of the Suzuki Swish:

1.     Attractive Look

Suzuki Swish is a stylish scooter that comes with an aesthetic design which is one of the reasons why it became so popular with its users. Unlike other scooters, it has a fashionable and sporty look to it. This made it popular not only among adults but also among teenagers & older people.

2.     Great Ergonomics & Comfortable to Ride

Suzuki Swish offers an offset riding position that is comfortable for your hands while riding. It also has a good amount of seat space and leg space for the footrest. It comes with a good grip and the pickup is fantastic. You’ll be well-aware of your surroundings because of the perfectly positioned mirrors.

3.     Great Storage Capacity

One of the best parts of owning a Suzuki Swish is its enormous 20-liter underseat storage. You can easily put anything from your belongings to food without worrying about their size.

4.     Availability of Service & Cheap Parts

Suzuki has a high number of service centers around the globe. For instance, in India alone Suzuki has 365 authorized service centers, making the service easy to access.

This is made possible because of its 50% market share in India only. Besides, the spare parts for Suzuki Swish are extremely cheap.

Disadvantages of the Suzuki Swish?

Here are some of the disadvantages of Suzuki Swish:

1.     Average Build Quality

Even though the scooter itself is pretty perfect in design and riding, the materials used in many important areas are plastics instead of metal or steel.

2.     Low Fuel Efficiency

According to the 124 cc engine capacity of Suzuki Swish, 45km – 50km per liter isn’t bad as mileage. But considering the good mileage of other scooters such as Suzuki Access and Honda Activa which offer 64kmpl and 54-64kmpl mileage respectively, it can be seen as a bit low.

Why was it discontinued?

As mentioned earlier, the Suzuki Swish was discontinued in India in 2017. The main reason behind the curtain was the periodic decline in sales in India in 2016.

Besides, the increasing popularity of models like Suzuki Access and many other scooters of this range was another reason.

This made Suzuki strategically slow and later discontinue the supply of any new units of Suzuki Swish to its dealers based in India. From then on, they started focusing mainly on models like Suzuki Access to regain the market.

Where can you buy a Suzuki Swish?

Even though Suzuki Swish has been discontinued from the Indian market, luckily you can still purchase a Suzuki Swish from the countries below-

From Japan

You can purchase the latest Suzuki Swish models from Japan and can easily bring them into the country of your choice by importing them.

From Taiwan

You can buy the latest 2022 model of Suzuki Swish from Taiwan.

 From India

If you are still a big fan of the old Suzuki Swish 125cc scooter facelift model, as mentioned before you can buy the used ones from India.

Conclusion

Suzuki Swish is proved to be a fantastic scooter in the 124 cc segment. Yet, it showed how one scooter with a single variant can have way more exceptional features than most of the popular scooters out there.

Even though the scooter itself is discontinued, it surely helped Suzuki introduce many popular models later on using user-generated feedback. As of today, Suzuki Swish is still a nice scooter to own not only because of its ergonomy but also for its look. Hope this article was helpful. Thanks for reading!
